"The Witchery" is the diverse teen witch novel we've been waiting for

There's been an interesting conversation on Twitter recently about young adult fiction and how more books need to be focused on and relatable to younger teens. Because so many adults (ahem!) read YA regularly, it can be harder for actual young adults to find books that connect to their lived experiences and maturity level.

We were thinking about that conversation this week as we were reading The Witchery, S. Isabelle's debut novel about a young witch who is still learning to control her powers while also adjusting to life at her elite new school for fellow spell makers.
