The second the review copy of Tracy Badua's new middle grade novel "The Takeout" hit our inbox, we knew that we'd make time to read it as soon as possible. After all, “The Takeout” focuses on the daughter of an Indian-Filipino fusion (!!) food truck owner and her struggles to adjust when her family moves to a new town. Best of all, the truck is called THE BANANA LEAF and the descriptions of the food made us want to go to this fictional truck immediately.
